Existing Site and Buildings

The school is located a 7 minute drive outside of Sligo town, which is currently a pastoral landscape. 0.? hectares, the site is lowlying and flat, with a river cutting splitting the site diagonally. To the north-east of the site are scenic views of the ?? mountains.

An 18th century single room schoolhouse, with attached two-storey 'Master's House' to the west gable still stands, with flat roof additions from the 1950s.

The Sligo Sudbury School

The case study client is a democratic school founded in 2016 on the West Coast of Ireland. The community is growing at a rapid rate, and therefore they are in need of further accomodation on their site.
